Curricular Practical Training

Curricular Practical Training (CPT) is an employment authorization for international graduate students who have an F-1 visa. It allows students to gain practical skills and training through employment as part of the department’s curriculum.

Overview

Curricular Practical Training provides graduate students with work experience in environmental engineering through a relevant internship or fieldwork experience as part of their program of study. The type of work is determined by the instructor. The grade is decided through employer feedback on student performance and the quality of the report. This course may not be taken for pass/fail credit or audited.
