Undergraduate Summer Internships

All undergraduates are encouraged to participate in at least one summer internship related to Earth and environmental engineering after their sophomore and junior years. EEE does not have a formal internship program, but faculty members have strong ties with various consulting firms, government agencies and high-tech companies, many in the New York City area. Arrangements are made each spring and depend greatly on the current project loads for each employer. Internships for the upcoming summer are typically posted via email as they become available, and compiled in a binder kept in the EEE main office (918 Mudd). Other potential sources are the various career fairs that take place on campus. However, students with a particular interest are encouraged to contact the EEE undergraduate adviser, Professor Gavin Gong, or a faculty member who specializes in that field early in the spring semester. Students are also encouraged to contact potential employers directly. Recent EEE summer internship opportunities have been provided by the following organizations:
