All seniors should apply to take the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam - your first step towards becoming a licensed Professional Engineer!
This nationwide exam covers a comprehensive range of subjects in a typical undergraduate engineering program, so all engineering specialties take the same exam. Therefore it's best to take it during or immediately after your senior year.
The exam is administered in April and October each year. Application deadline is Nov 1, 2006 for the April 2007 exam. Go to http://www.ncees.org/.
