Prof. Somasundaran Elected Fellow Status in AIChE
Professor Somasundaran was recently elected a Fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) in recognition of his engineering accomplishments and his contributions to the chemical engineering profession.

Professor Klaus Lackner, Chair of the Earth & Environmental Engineering Department, appears in the article, "Scrubbing the Skies" in the March 7, 2009 edition of the Economist Technology Quarterly.
Professor Kartik Chandran Receives NSF Award
Kartik Chandran, assistant professor, has been awarded an NSF CAREER Award for $400,000 to study "Molecular mechanisms and metabolic modeling of N2O and NO emission fluxes from biological nitrogen removal reactors."
