05/17/2006

Professor Marco Castaldi has been honored with a 2006 Distinguished Faculty Teaching Award, presented by the Columbia Engineering School Alumni Association during Class Day ceremonies on May 16, 2006. We quote: “This award, created by the Alumni Association, is given to honor faculty members of The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science for excellence in teaching undergraduates. [The professors were] nominated by [their] students and selected as the recipient by a Committee, which was composed of alumni and students. Selection was based upon an evaluation of a candidate’s dedication to undergraduate education, teaching skills, and sensitivity and responsiveness to student needs.” Professor Castaldi teaches the courses in Thermodynamics, Environmental Control and Pollution Reduction Systems, and Combustion Processes. Congratulations Marco!
